Alta was born 12-9-1905 in Mattoon, Ill. to George and Rebecca Jestice Young.She married Garfield William Hedgecoth in Cumberland co on 10-9-1923. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dorton Baptist Church. she is survived by her daughter Alice Hedgecoth , daughter and son in law Ester and Gene Tolett, Genese and Herthel Hale, Katherine and Paul Justice, Kay and David Shillings and Faye and Lamarr Green all of Crossville, Jeanette and Clifton Byer of New Lebanon, Oh, and Joyce and Vaughn Parker of Memphis, sons garfiedl Hedgecoth Jr. and wife Laura, Jimmy Ray Hedgecoth of Crossville, 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, sister Mildred Wigginton of Dayton Ohio, brother in law Walter Turner of Crossville. She was preceded in death by her husband Garfield William Hedgecoth Sr., daughter Reba Winningham and a great grandson. Pallbearers were grandsons Steven Green, Terry Hedgecoth, Bill Winningham, Jeff tollett, Herthel Hale Jr. and Brian Hedgecoth. Bro terry Bear and Bro. Glenn Miller officiated.
