She was the daughter of Charles/Catherine Young Werder. She had a brother named Henry and a sister named Ottilia. She married Gilbert A. Flint 12 Jun 1912 and had three children with him: Catherine Matilda, Martha Eleanor, and Gilbert Hall.

A notable event was the wedding at Smithfield on June 12, 1912, of Gilbert Augustus Flint and Wilhelmina R. Werder.
It was a church wedding and the officiating clergyman was Rev. W. G. Myles. The church was beautifully decorated by loving and tasteful hands with summer blooms and was indeed a bower of beauty. Mr. Flint belongs to one of the old and respected families of Dutchess County, the name being a familiar one in this section for generations.
