COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Lillie Ann Birdwell, 86, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 24, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 23, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Birdwell died today, Sept. 22, 1999, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1913, in Jackson County to the late Haney Franklin and Delia Birdwell Flatt. Mrs. Birdwell was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Her family includes her sons, Hugh and Jene Birdwell of Cookeville, and Bobby and Billie Birdwell of Stillwater, Okla.; five sisters, Bertha Dorris of Cross Plains, Edna Roberts and Mary Dudney, both of Gainesboro, Jessie Chaffin of Cookeville, and Marie Hershberger of Warren, Mich.; grandchildren, Richard and Suzanne Birdwell of Oklahoma, Beth and Jeff Borland and Susie and Larry McCord, all of Dallas, Texas, and Ronnie and Jennifer Birdwell of Cookeville; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Doxie Birdwell; four brothers, J.D., Tom B., Benton M. and Mitchell F. Flatt; and three sisters, Eunice Lozon, Rebecca Selestow and Clena Chaffin.
Bros. Bruce McLarty and Jim Blankenship will officiate at the services.
