Clena Flatt Chaffin

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Clena Flatt Chaffin, 91, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tues., May 4, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today, May 3, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chaffin died on Sun., May 2, 1999, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood.

She was born on June 30, 1907, in Jackson County to the late Henry Franklin and Delia Birdwell Flatt. Mrs. Chaffin was a homemaker and a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ.

Her family includes six sisters, Bertha Dorris of Cross Plains, Edna Roberts and Mary Dudney, both of Gainesboro, Lillie Birdwell and Jessie Chaffin, both of Cookeville; and Marie Hershberger of Warren, Mich.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Evert Chaffin; two sisters, Eunice Lozon and Rebecca Selestow; and four brothers, Tom B., Benton M., Mitchell F. and J.D. Flatt.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Chaffin's nephews.

Bros. Ernest Abston and Ken Burton will officiate at the services.
