HOWARD NEIL DILLER, 76, of White Pigeon, Mich., formerly of Pandora, died at 12:06 p.m. Dec. 8, 2002, at Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Ind.

He was born March 14, 1926, in Bluffton to Dennis and Ella Rothlisberger Diller, who preceded him in death. He had been married to Selma L. Miller. On March 29, 1980, he married Juanita M. Dale, who survives in White Pigeon, Mich.

Mr. Diller was owner/operator of Diller Consolidated Inc. He had also been a salesman and truck driver. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Constantine, Mich. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1355 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 86, both in Sturgis, Mich., and American Legion Post 215, LaGrange, Ind. He was also a member of Lodge Council Chapter Consistory of the Valley of Toledo and had served as chairman for the state of Ohio Child Welfare. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant. He moved to White Pigeon, Mich., from Pandora in 1980.

Survivors also include two sons, Tom (Mary) Diller and Steve Diller, both of Findlay; a stepson, Bill Garn of Sturgis, Mich.; three daughters, Kay (John) Borgelt of Findlay, Jean (Roger) Hermiller of Ottawa and Karen (Ray) Morris of Pandora; two stepdaughters, Diana Kemp of Three Rivers, Mich., and Cathi Garn of Sturgis, Mich.; two brothers, Nolan Diller and Dave Diller, both of Columbus Grove; a sister, Marion Busick of Columbus Grove; his mother-in-law, Lauretta Mader of White Pigeon, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, three great-grandchildren, seven stepgreat-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Wayne Diller.

Services will begin at noon Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Constantine, Mich. The Rev. Mark Erbs will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon, Mich., and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
