Of Gasport, Dies
A former Gasport resident, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Chase, 83. of 266 Chestnut St., died unexpectedly after an Illness of some time, Monday (Nov. 25, 1957) at Niagara Sanatorium.
Born In Gasport, Aug. 36, 1874, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wadsley she was married to George A. Chase on Dec. 31. 1891. She had been a member of the Gasport Congregational Church and the Gasport Chapter of the Womens Christian Temperance Union. She had moved to Lockport 36 years ago.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Olive Boots of Niagara Fall,, Mrs. Martha Chaplin and Mrs. Florence Brownell, both of Gasport and Mrs. Evelyn Newman of Homestead, Fla; a son, Earl, of Lockport; and 15 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bream and Lange Funeral Home 186 East Ave, beginning tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2. The Rev. Ritchard E. Lyon of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
