Ex-Bus Co. Official
Earle A. Chase, a retired executive of the Lockport Bus Lines, Inc., died today at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a five-week period of hospitalization.
Mr. Chase for 25 years was accountant and office manager for the bus company. He retired two years ago.
Mr. Chase, who was 68 years old, lived at 204 Pine St. and was a native of Royalton.
He is survived by his wife, Lily N. Chase; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Beverly) Simek of Williamsport, Pa. and Mrs. John (Joan) Coe of Lockport; one son, Richard E. Chase of Lewiston; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Martha) Chaplin of Gasport and Mrs. Milo (Evelyn) Newman of Leisure City, Fla. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Chase was a member and past master of the Gasport Masonic lodge.
Friends may call at the Lange Funeral Home, 186 East Ave., Lockport at their convenience beginning Saturday. The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Russell L. Shaffer, pastor of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial will be Hartland Central Cemetery.
