Word was received here of the funeral of Mrs. W. G. Jordan, a former Caldwell parish resident, who died in Memphis, Tenn., last Saturday. The funeral was held in Monroe Monday at 2 p.m. and interment made in the Riverview Burial Park.

She was the daughter of Mrs. Aline Banister and the late Henry Banister, who resided in this parish in ward 5 and Columbia Heights for many years.

Mrs. Jordan was before her marriage Ella Banister, being born in Caldwell parish. Besides her mother, she is a sister of Ross Banister, former representative of Caldwell parish, who is now an attorney in Baton Rouge, and another brother, Guy Banister, with the FBI in Minneapolis, Minn., a former police officer in Monroe.

She also leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, a resident of Memphis.

Pallbearers were R. M. Troy, C. D. Meredith, Dr. C. P. Jarrell, John Bradley, Aaron Parker and C. B. Garretson.
