Frances was married to Joseph Jacob Aukofer in a double wedding ceremony officiated by Rev. Jos. A. Dries at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The other couple married at that time was Frances's brother Albert Hammer to Joe's sister 'Wallie' Aukofer. A "hochzeit" followed the ceremony, at which a "good time was had by all."
--
In 1930, Frances was living with her son, Jacob AUKOFER and family, in rented rooms at 210 N. Lincoln Avenue in Beaver Dam. She was listed as age 64 years born in Wisconsin, a widow who was married at the age of 19 years. The Census incorrectly shows her parents also born in Wisconsin.
