OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Argus, Friday, November 3, 1911, page 7.

DIED - AUKOFER - At his home in the town of Beaver Dam, Sunday, October 29, 1911, of stomach trouble, Joseph Aukofer, age 44 years, 8 months and 11 days.

Deceased who had been ill for some time, was born in the house in which he died. Nov. 26, 1889, he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Hammer. Three children were born to them, two of whom are living. They are Margaret and Jacob Aukofer, who with their mother survive him. He is also survived by one brother, John Aukofer of the town of Beaver Dam, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Karl of this city; Mrs. Anton Bohl and Mrs. Albert Hammer, both of the town of Beaver Dam. Deceased was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Peter's church. Burial in St. Peter's cemetery.
