After a weeks illness, Mrs. Charlotte Alexander died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Johnson, Winterset, Iowa, January 2nd, 1908 at the advanced age of 86 years 11 months and 5 days.
Charlotte Lambertson became a Christian and united with the Baptist Church when thirteen years old, and for nearly seventy-four years lived a very consistant Christian life. She was deeply interested in all branches of church work and up to the last hours of her life she expressed sorrow that she could do no more for the cause of missions, which she so deeply loved. In 1843 she was united in marriage to Hugh Alexander. To this union seven sons and three daughters were born: seven sons and one daughter still live to mourn the loss of a devoted mother.
The funeral services were held at the Baptist church, Pastor E. M. Atwood officiating.
