Mary "Mamie" Lowe Adamson, 84, of 54 South Second East, Brigham City, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 1987, at a local nursing home of cardiac arrest. She was born Sept. 12, 1903, in Park City, to Oscar and Jennie Stoddard Lowe. She was married to Herbert Adamson on July 1, 1925, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 1, 1979. She graduated from Park City High school andattended Utah State university in Logan. She was active in the LDS church serving in the Relief Society, Primary and MIA. She had worked for the J.C. Penney company for many years. She was active in the Brigham City Civic club, American Legion auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. For the past year, she has been a resident of Pioneer Memorial Nursing home in Brigham City where she was a member of the resident council board helping to plan activities and make suggestions for improving life at the home. While there, she enjoyed bus trips. evenings at Heritage theatre, movies and music, especially the band playing the olde type tunes on Fridayafternoons. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Earl E. (Jeanne) Watson, Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one sister, Ellen Brooks, Salt Lake City; one brother,Oscar "Bud" Lowe, Eugene, Ore. She was preceded in death by one son. Funeral services will be conducted today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. in Petersen Funeral chapel, Brigham City, where friends may call prior to services. Burial will be in Richmond cemetery, Richmond, Utah.
