Longtime Anchorage resident, Jeanne Lorette Adamson Watson, 69, died Jan. 6, 1996, at home. A funeral service was at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Baxter Chapter, 2240 Baxter Rd. Bishop John Underhill officiated. A visitation was before the service at the same location. Pallbearers were Douglas Green, Sheldon Green, Chester Watson, Vincent Watson, Lewis Watson, and Wayne Watson. Internment was in Richmond Cemetery, Cache County, Utah. Peterson Funeral Home handled the services.

Mrs. Watson was born July 13, 1926, in Richmond, Cache County, Utah, to Herbert George Adamson and Mamie Stoddard Lowe. Mrs. Watson lived in Park City and Price, Utah, but spent most of her early years in Brigham City, Utah. On Dec. 22, 1945, she married Elbert ''Earl'' Watson. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. Watson's Air Force career took Mrs. Watson and their six children around the world and throughout the United States. Moving to Elmendorf AFB in 1970, the family made Anchorage their permanent home. After her children were grown, she worked for the U.S. Public Health Service, and at the admissions department of the University of Alaska Anchorage. She loved the outdoors and traveled throughout Alaska and the Lower 48 with her husband in their motorhome. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mrs. Watson recently served as president of the women's auxiliary, Relief Society. Previously she and her husband completed a full-time church service calling as co-directors of the regional LDS Employment Service Center of Alaska. Her family said: ''She had a great love for others, as she opened her heart and home to all. Her children and grandchildren along with many dear friends were always welcome to stop by for a visit or words of encouragement and counsel. Jeanne is remembered for her willingness to serve others and her great love for her Heavenly Father. Her influence continues to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to call her wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.''

Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband, Earl of Anchorage; six children and their spouses, Pamela Zundel of Palm Desert, Calif., Chester Watson of Foxboro, Mass., Lewis Watson, Lynn Green, Vincent Watson, and Wayne Watson of Anchorage; and 19 grandchildren living in Colorado, California, and Alaska. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hospice of Anchorage, 3605 Arctic Blvd., #555, Anchorage 99503. Arrangements were by Evergreen Memorial Chapels.
