W1NON A - Joseph "J. C." Brantley, 85, of Cartersville, Ga., formerly of Mississippi, insurance salesman for Gulf Life, died Thursday of congestive heart failure at Starcrest Nursing Home in Cartersville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lee Funeral Home of Winona with burial in Old Plank Cemetery in Vaiden. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Church.
Mr. Brantley, the husband of Willease Brantley, also leaves three daughters, Anne Webb of Cartersville, Nancye Riley of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Lucye Kaye Woods of Dudley, Mo.; a son, James Brantley of Carmack, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
