Funeral services for Mrs. C. B. Allen, 79, Arkadelphia, Ark., were held Friday, November 30, in DeRoche Baptist church there, with Bro. Steve Thomas, Donaldson, Ark., officiating.
She was the mother of 17 children, 15 of which are living. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist church.
Interment was in DeRoche cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Charles B. Allen, eight daughters, seven sons, 50 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.
The daughters are Mrs. Ethel Hampton, Saxton, Mo.; Mrs. Winnie Mahan, Little Rock, Ark.; Mrs. Doney Allen, Mrs. Audie Ballard, both of Bismarck, Ark.; Mrs. Verdie Sheets, Mrs. Merle Brown, both of Arkadelphia; Mrs. Nettie Sheets, Kilgore, Tex., and Mrs. Lennie Yancy, Plainview, Tex.
The sons are C. E. Allen, Paducah, Ky.; Charlie Allen, Bismarck, Ark.; W. W. Allen, Camden, Ark.; James E. Allen, Plainview, Tex.; Clark Allen, Stanford, Tex.; Loyal Allen, Malvern, Ark., and J. F. Allen, Idabel.
