Mrs. Dovie Allen, 66, wife of Lester Allen died Monday evening in St. Joseph Infirmary in Hot Springs. She was born in this county and lived her entire life in the old DeRoche Community at Bismarck.
Survivors include her husband; five daughters. Mrs. Odie Burrough, Mrs. Clinton Hughes, Mrs Denver Lee Shuffield, Mrs. Horace Boswell and Mrs. Orville Bright, all of Bismarck; two sons, Arvillie Allen of Bismarck and Calvin L. Allen of New Martinsville West Virginia; six brothers , W.W. Allen of Bismarck. James E. Allen of Plainview, Texas, William Clark Allen of Stanford, TX, W.L. Allen of
Malvern, C.E. Allen of Paducah, KY; seven sisters, Mrs. B.T. Ballard of Bismarck, Mrs. Jessie Brown and Mrs Vernice Sheets of Arkdelphia, Mrs. Nattie Sheets of Kilgore, TX., Mrs. Ethel Hampton of Sikeston, MO, Mrs Watson Yancy and Mrs Alvin Mayhan of Little Rock; 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at two o'clock Thursday at the DeRoche Baptist Church by Rev Earl McAllister assisted by Steve Thomas and Rev Freeman Crow., pastor of the church. Burial will be in DeRoche Cemetery by Murry Funeral Home of Arkdelphia
