Edgar Marion Garner, 35, of Piqua, Ohio, and a native of Pulaski County, died suddenly Sunday in Stouter Hospital in Troy, Ohio.

He was born on July 29, 1934, in Pulaski County. His mother, Ruth Shepperd Garner survives and his father, Virgil Garner is deceased.

He was married on July 24, 1954 in Jefferson, Ind. to the former Cosette Cravens who survives.

He had lived in Piqua only one year and was employed in welding supplices.

Other survivors include three daughters, Joyce Lee Garner, Lois Ann Garner, and Rebecca Ruth Garner; five brothers, John Will, Lonzie, and Layton of Nancy, Larry of Somerset, and Harvey of Westover Air Force Base, two sisters, Marie Frye, and Janis Whitaker, both of Nancy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. Jess Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Whitis Cemetery.

The remains will be in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company after 2 p.m. today.
