Jens Peter Jensen was born on August 25, 1882, in Washington, Nebraska, his father, Hans, was 22 and his mother, Dorothea, was 23. He married Laura LaCretia "Cretia" Bowerman May 22, 1907. They had three children during their marriage. He died on October 9, 1952, in Washington, Nebraska, at the age of 70.

The headstone for Jens Peter Jensen is next to and north of his father, Hans Jensen. The plot is located on the north side of the cemetery, east of the center aisle.

Jens Peter Jensen, 68, ex-Blairite, Died in California Wednesday

Jens Peter Jensen, 68, former Blair and Orum resident, died last Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The body was returned to Blair and services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bendorf Funeral Home. The Rev. Glenn Emmert of Herman officiated and burial followed in the Orum Cemetery. Members of the Odd Fellows Lodge had charge of graveside rituals. Pallbearers were James Skinner, Waldo Shamburg, Chris Korshoj, Ted Swanson, Martin Larsen and Gunnar Pearson.

A former blacksmith who once resided at Orum, Mr. Jensen is survived by his wife, Cretia; a daughter, Mrs. William Skinner (Claire) of Herman; two grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs. Caroline Pratt of Topeka, Kan.
