Katrina was born Oct 18, 1903 in Broom Park Place, Larkfield, Parish of Blantyre, County of Lanark, Scotland.
She was one of three children born to Jurgis and Katrina Vaitkunas Pukas. Her older sister was Opalionia (later Pauline and then Polly) and her younger brother was Andrew "Heinzie." Polly and Andrew immigrated to the United States with their mother, Katrina, and aunt Veronica in 1909.
The child, Katrina, died about a month shy of her third birthday in September 1906 (and only months after her father died) after suffering two days from Catararrhal laryngitis. She died at Hart's Land, Stonefield in the Parish of Blantyre, County of Lanark in Scotland.
