Ellen was a daughter of Marvin and Maude Lagrone Gulley. She married Arthur O. Stanford who preceded her in death in 1968.
She is survived by two sons; Joe Marvin White and John Thomas Stanford; five brothers, Marvin Travis Gulley, Dixie Wayman Gulley, Lymas Wayne Gulley, Kenneth Ruskin Gulley and William Bain Gulley; two sisters, Mrs. Gerturde Gulley Hill, and Mrs. Joe Alexander.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Texas, president of the Elite Choir, member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Jessie Allen Wise Garden Club.
