He was born Oct. 27, 1935, in Sheridan, the son of Robert and Lavina Hubbard Bills. During his working years he
worked at Howard City Paper Co. for many years and also
trimmed Christmas trees. Ray was an avid outdoorsman,
enjoying hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by
his parents; wife, Shirley; and two brothers, Wayne and
Raymond. He is survived by two sons, John and Peggy, Jimmy and Monica, all of Howard City; daughter, Diane and Doug
McGarvey of Howard City; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Roy and Arlene Bills of Howard City, Robert and Alice of Brohman, Roger Bills of Howard City; four sisters,
Loretta and Ronald Scram of Howard City, Lorraine and Phil
Moore of Cedar Springs, Louise and Fay Culver of Howard City, LueJle and Melvin Ludloh of Orleans; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Heckman Funeral Home, Howard City, with pastors David West and Tom Ball officiating. Burial is in Reynolds Township Cemetery.

where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and prior to services Tuesday.
