Louise Katherine (Bills) Culver age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior at Metron of Cedar Springs on June 2, 2019. She was born on August 9, 1932 in her Grandmother's bedroom in Ionia, Michigan. She was the fourth child of ten born to Robert and Lavina (Hubbard) Bills. As the oldest daughter, she played a big part in raising her younger siblings. Her father was a school teacher, so as a child, they moved to Gladwin for him to find work. In 1946, they moved to Howard City, where he taught the remainder of his teaching career. She graduated from Howard City High School in 1950. She got a job working at Wolverine Glove Factory. On June 1, 1951, she married Fay Culver. She worked many jobs over the years, Smith's Grocery Store, a waitress at the Rustic Coffee Shop, and in the school Cafeteria. She served her community by sitting on various boards and committees. She enjoyed bowling, the Detroit Tigers, and her friends and family. She spent Many hours crocheting over 50 afghans which she donated to the Grand Rapids Veteran's Home. Surviving is a son, Tom (Arlene) Culver, grandchildren, Scott (Melissa) Culver, Stacey (Kevin) Sage all of Howard City. Great grandchildren Ethan and Alex Culver, Oliver and Maxwell Sage, who simply call her “Great”, two sisters Luella Ludlow (Johnny Wittenbach)of Orleans, and Lorraine (Phil) Moore of Cedar Springs, sister in law Alice Bills of Brohman, Arlene Bills of Howard City, brother in law, Sam Scram of Lakeview, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fay, brothers, Robert (Bob), Wayne, Raymond, (twins) Roy, Ray and Roger, sister Loretta Scram.
