Henry Jackson Allen, 89, of Campbellsville died at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 4, 2010, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late John Allen and Rebecca Ann Allen, he was born in LaRue County, Ky. on June 4, 1920. He was a member and trustee of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

He was married to Willya Stearman on Jan. 19, 1945. She preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 1998.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Margy and Kenneth Pierce of Campbellsville; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jacky and Julane Pierce of Campbellsville and Jill and Paul Callison of Greensburg, Ky.; five great-granddaughters, Courtney Danielle Callison and Emily Callison, both of Greensburg and Jalynn Pierce, Natalie Pierce and Chloe Pierce, all of Campbellsville; and a brother, James Allen of Campbellsville.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters, Nora Vaughn, Elsie Price, Dorine Young, Novella Perkins, Creed Allen, Elmer Allen, Fronie Burress and Everett Allen.

Funeral was Wednesday, April 7 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Jon Willis officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
