As a girl in Baptist church records, they recorded her as Sealy and her older sister Massey, but both girls really only used their middle names, ie Massey Jane Hewitt was called Jane or Jenny and Selah Lettie Hewitt was called Lettie.
In one Gordon County, GA tax list her name is actually spelled Mrs Eletta Cowen. Since a Bible record has her name written Selah Lettie Hewitt by a family member, I am using this. David Travillion Bunton
