Ray Naillon, 81, of Tazewell, died February 28 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Tazewell.

Born May 18, 1926 at Cosby, Tenn., he was a son of the late William and Sarah Brown Naillon. He was a US Army Veteran of World War, II. He attended the Tazewell Family Worship Center in Tazewell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ray Naillon, Jr.; six brothers, Parker Naillon, Leath Naillon, Burt Naillon, Ben Naillon, Joe Naillon, and Jack Naillon; and three grandsons, Kenneth Lee Buchanan, Jr., Randy Whittaker, and Andy Whittaker.

Survivors: wife, Nina Robinson Naillon; daughters, Betty Whittaker of Baptist Valley, Connie Naillon Powers, of Abbs Valley, Joyce Powers of North Tazewell; sons, Bill Naillon and Bobby Naillon, both of Ft. Worth, Texas, Terry Naillon of Marion; sister, Helen Holcomb of Union, W.Va.; grandsons, Larry Fontaine, Andy Buchanan, Larry Powers, Jr. and Shane Powers; great grandchildren, Brandon, Tracie, Erica, Marista, Cody, Faith, Cole, Brett, Dylan, and Shea; and two great great grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted March 2 at 2 p.m. at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell.

Burial followed at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. where military graveside rites were conducted by members of the Barns Beavers VFW Post # 7136 of Tazewell.
