Betty Naillon Whittaker Rose, age 77 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Betty was born June 19, 1945 to the late Ray Naillon and Nina Mae Robinson. She was a very happy person and she loved to make people laugh. Betty enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping, reading and she loved to watch Gunsmoke. She was of the holiness faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Scotty Rose; two sons, Randy Dwayne Whittaker and Andy Wayne Whittaker; brother, Ray Naillon, Jr.; nephew, Kenneth "Lee" Buchanan, Jr..
She is survived by one son, Larry Fontaine and wife LaWanda of Tazewell, VA; three brothers, William "Bill" Wayne Naillon and wife Delores of Fort Worth, TX, Terry Lee Naillon and wife Ann of Chilhowie, VA, and Bobby Gene Naillon and wife Stephanie of Ft. Worth, TX; two sisters, Connie Powers and Joyce Powers and husband, Dennis, all of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren, William Brandon Fontaine, Tracie Underwood, and Randi Shaye Whittaker; ten great grandchildren.
