Ruth E. Hathaway Evans, daughter of Eljay and MaryJane Hathaway was born in Cerro Gordo county, Iowa on May 23, 1913. On November 11, 1930 she was united in marriage to Roland Keith Evans at the Presbyterian Church in St. Charles, Iowa.
To this union was born nine children: Richard Keith (Leona Johnson) dob:8 Nov. 1931, dod: 8 Dec. 1989, Robert Dean (Phyllis Gunter) dob: 15 Aug. 1934, Shirley Marie (Verle Saltzman) dob:20 Feb. 1936, John Laverne (Sherry Phillips) dob:4 July 1939, dod: 18 Apr. 2001, Lyndon Leigh (Sherri Lucas) dob:19 Mar. 1943, Janice Elaine (Larry Olson) dob:2 Jan. 1946, Beverly Jean (Mike Anderson) dob:19 Dec. 1946 dod:14 Sept. 1998, Kathy Lynnette (John Watts) dob:24 Feb.1951, Vicki Ann (Barry Wyman) dob: 19 Oct. 1954.
She was proceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland: a son Richard, a daughter Beverly a grandson, Brian Carl Wyman three brothers and four sisters.
Burial was at the Rosehill Cemetary in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
