Harold Hathaway, 81, Altoona
Harold Ralph Hathaway, 81, of Altoona, died of a heart ailment Jan. 26, 2000, at Altoona Manor Care Center. Graveside services were held Jan. 29 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hathaway was born in Shannon City and had lived in California before moving to Altoona 41 years ago. He was a retired production manager with Artistic Manufacturing Co. and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Harold of Altoona; fours sisters, Ruth Evans of Mount Ayr, Pat Murphy of Port Byron, Ill., and Sylvia Peterson and Althea Houseman, both of Winterset; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
