Blanche was the only daughter of parents Stephen Harrison Vorce and wife Kittie Nutting. For some unknown reason she was given up for adoption to her paternal grandmother when she was an infant. Her grandmother, Caroline Nutting/Vorce/Buck, was married to second husband Albert Buck at the time. They raised her. Parents Harrison and Kittie went on to have another child, son Berton, who was also later given up for adoption after the death of his father.
Blanche married Gladstone Robert Beattie on 18 Aug 1898 in Coloma, Michigan . She had two children. Daughter Geraldine married Edmund Bosch and had one son, Edmund Jr.
Blanche died of consumption when daughter Geraldine was only four months old.
Gladstone went on to marry Elizabeth McCotter on August 29, 1910 in Emmett County, Michigan and have three more children: Gladstone Jr.; Watson; Helen.
