INDIAN TRAIL Mrs. Dodd-Wooten, 69, of Indian Trail died Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, April 1, 2004 at Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel at 10:00 AM with Pastor Lou Quievryn officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery on Catawba Avenue (across the street from the school) at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail, 4431 Old Monroe Rd.

Helen was born on June 16, 1934 in Gaston County to the late Hale and Ester Kale. She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Noah Wooten; brothers, Jack W. and Hall H. Kale; sisters, Sarah Brewer and Beulah Ware. Helen was a Charter member of Hemby Bridge Presbyterian Church and was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank for over 37 years. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Dodd Hill and husband Stephen of Charlotte, Wm. Keith Dodd and wife Rosemary of Monroe, Peggy Wooten Fergurson and husband Boyce of Dallas, NC; brother, John P. Kale of Belmont, NC; one grandson Michael DeArmon Hill of Charlotte and four special nieces Lydia, Ann, Helen, Selena and nephews.

Memorial contribution may be made in memory of Helen to Hospice of Union Co. 700 West Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110 or to Hemby Bridge Presbyterian Church, 6010 Mill Grove Rd. Indian Trail, NC 28079.
