INDIAN TRAIL -- Mr. Noah (Tootie) Franklin Wooten, age 75, of Indian Trail, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at Presbyterian Hospital, Harris Hospice Unit. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 12:00 pm Friday at Heritage Funeral Home, 4431 Old Monroe Road with Pastor Paul Doriani officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2002 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park.

He was born on October 26, 1926, in Gaston County, to the late Richard and Hattie Riley Wooten. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rev. Kenneth Wooten; and sister, Inez Cathy. Mr. Wooten worked for the United States Post Office for 35 plus years before retiring. He served in the Army, was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. While at home he loved watching sports, especially Baseball and Football. One of his favorite teams was the Braves.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Helen K. Wooten, of Indian Trail; daughters, Peggy Wooten Ferguson and husband Boyce, of Dallas, Lynn Dodd Hill and husband Stephen, of Charlotte; son, William Keith Dodd and wife Rosemary, of Monroe; grandson, Michael D. Hill, of Charlotte; 2 very special nephews, Roy Abernathy and Gregory Kale; and loving nieces, Lydia, Ann, Helen and Selena.
