Cecile S. Rittenhouse, 87, died Monday at Dickey Nursing Home. Born Feb 28, 1908, in Elwood, she was the daughter of Fred and Dolly Shrock.

She retired from G.C.Murphy Company.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include one son, William M. Rittenhouse of Lake Wales, Fla.; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Ryan, of Elwood and Mae Majors, of Arkadelphia, Ark.; two brothers, Ervin Shrock and James Shrock both of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 3 sisters: Mable Boyd, Mary McCord, Dortha Shrock, and 7 brothers: Robert Shrock, John Shrock, Paul Shrock, Raymond Shrock, George Shrock, Donald Shrock, and Daniel Shrock.

Funeral services will be at 1 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be in Sunset memorial Park.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Jackley-Landrum Funeral Home.
