Dies at 78


POMEROY - Funeral services for Edward H. Priode, 78, who died unexpectedly at his home on Vale St. Sunday, will be held at the Rawlings-Coats Funeral home, Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will be in the Cheshire Gravel Hill Cemetery, Arthur Leach, minister of the Seventh Day Adventist congregation will officiate.

Mr. Priode, a life-long resident of Pomeroy, was the son of John and Barbara Pfarr Priode. He had been a representative of the New York Life Insurance Company since 1926. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Priode, and these children: Mrs. Russell Brown of Pomeroy, Mrs. Robert Doman, of Parkersburg, Charles of Detriot; James of Pomeroy, a stepson, Harold Long of Middleport, a sister, Mrs. Ida Kent of Columbus and nine grandchildren.
