Cora Irene Carpenter age 91 of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong and oldest member of Carpenters United Methodist Church and the oldest of 12 brothers and sisters. She loved quilting, crocheting, working in her flower garden, and church work.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Bert Carpenter; grandsons, Anthony Kyle Carpenter and Michael Shane Carpenter; brother, Charles Best; infant brother, Roscoe Best.
Graveside service and interment will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 16, 2015, at Carpenters United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Peggy Meade and Rev. Lonnie Garner officiating.
