Myrle Gertrude Alloway, 82 of Louisville, TN, went to be with the Lord December 27, 2017, while a resident of Life Care Center of Blount County, after a battle with cancer. Myrle was one of twelve children born to Truman and Gertrude Best. She was a shift supervisor for many years at Levi-Strauss when the company was in Maryville. Myrle has been a lifelong resident of Blount County. She loved her family, her flowers, the mountains and her home away from home in Townsend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Scott; parents, Truman and Gertrude Best; two brothers, Roscoe and Charles; sister, Irene.

Myrle is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Cindy Alloway and beloved granddaughter, Anna; brothers and their wives: Oscar and Irene, Tommy and Sue, Larry and Sandra, Wayne and Loretta; sisters, Wilma, Edna Ruth, Mary Martha and Erma Grace; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends; special friend, Bill.

Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at Carpenters Campground Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Chris Pass officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the Church following the graveside service.
