Lawerence E. Pepper 86 of Roseville, IL passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1924 in Seaton, IL the son of Walter J. and Mary Etta Davis Pepper. He married Lena Kepple on July 7, 1945. He is survived by his wife Lena Pepper of Roseville, IL; three sons Alan (Bev Naslund) Pepper of Avon, IL, Michael (Becky) Pepper of Macomb, IL, and Dale (Amy) Pepper of Lockport, IL; two daughters Sharon (Jerry) Haffner of Canton, IL and Karen (John) Culbertson of Canton, IL; 10 grandchildren Jodi, Jeff, Brooke, Evan, Grant, Rob, Alicia, Kyla, Christian, and Faith, and 3 great grandchildren Noah, Lilly and Chaz; one brother Leonard Pepper of Tulsa, OK and one brother-in-law Dwain Fullerton of Keithsburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 sister (Mary Fullerton). Lawerence was born and raised in Seaton where he graduated Seaton High School in 1942. He farmed for 53 years and retired in 1996. He was a tax assessor for Warren County for 35 years, was a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau Board. He spent 17 years on Macomb RC&D Board. He was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher and belonged to the Avon Methodist Men. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 6, 2010, 2:00 pm at the Avon United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Bond Cemetery in Greenbush Township. Family will receive friends on Thursday eve August 5, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Avon, IL. Memorials may be made to the Avon United Methodist Church and or Chaddock School.
