AVON - Lena Pepper, 85, Avon, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Red Oak Estates in Canton.
She was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Macomb, the daughter of Glee and Dolly Kramer Kepple. She married Lawerence E. Pepper on July 7, 1945. He preceded her on Aug. 3, 2010.
She is survived by five children, Alan (Bev Naslund) Pepper of Avon, Michael (Becky) Pepper of Macomb, Dale (Amy) Pepper of Lockport, Sharon (Jerry) Haffner of Canton, and Karen (John) Culbertson of Canton; 10 grandchildren, Jodi, Jeff, Brooke, Evan, Grant, Rob, Alicia, Kyla, Christian, Faith; six great-grandchildren, Noah, Lilly, Chaz, Bella, Zeke, and Eli; three siblings, Bill (Betty) Kepple of Abingdon, Donald (Wanda) Kepple of Avon, and Ronald Kepple of Bushnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She graduated from Avon High School and attended Western Illinois University. She was a member of Avon United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Hypatian Club, and Greenbush Card Club. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Avon United Methodist Church. Rev. Trish Chapman will officiate. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at Corman Memorial Home in Avon. Burial will be in the Bond Cemetery, Greenbush.
