DECATUR DAILY - December 31, 1938

COURTLAND MAN IS CALLED SUDDENLY

Final rites for W. J. Letson, 65, who died suddenly at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at his blacksmith shop in Courtland, were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Old Bethel Church, Lawrence county, by the Rev. A. C. Summers and the Rev. Norris. Burial there was directed by Brown of Decatur.

Mr. Letson, who had been a resident of Courtland more than 30 years, was the victim of a heart attack. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Melvin, Garth and Emanuel Letson; three daughters, Mesdames Marshall Redding, Jake Blackston and E. C. Cowart.
