Mrs. Kenneth U. King

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Bowersox) King, wife of Kenneth U. King, died in her sleep about 2:30 o'clock this morning in her home, 1131 Sixth Ave. She was aged 56 years, having been born May 22, 1897 in Juniata Co., a daughter of Daniel Oliver and Kathryn (Zong) Bowersox. Mrs. King was a member of Ford Memorial Methodist Church. Her fraternal connections were with Dames of Malta and Rebecca lodges, Ladies' Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Woman's Auxiliary of Local 14, Federation of Glass, Ceramic, and Silica Sand Workers of America. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter, Ronald of Buffalo, N.Y., Donald of Ford City and Mrs. Helen Alberts of Harrisburg. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. June McQuilkin of Harrisburg. Friends will be received in the Welch funeral home, Ford City, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in charge of her pastor, Rev. C.A. Skoog. Burial will be made in Ford City cemetery.
