Donald V. King, 66, of 1037 Johnston Ave., Kittanning, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1988, at his home. He was born March 7, 1922, in Hawthorn to Kenneth and Mary (Bowersox) King. He was a member of the Kittanning Eagles and the Kittanning Moose Club. He retired in 1979 from PPG, Works 4, after 37 years’ service. Surviving are his wife, Ruby (Johns) King, whom he married Jan. 15, 1946; three sons, Donald of Ford City, Randy of Kittanning and Wesley of Cowansville RD1; two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. (Sharon) Fries and Mrs. Earl (Donna) Kline, both of Kittanning; one sister, Helen Albert of Harrisburg; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roland in 1983. King, 66, of 1037 Johnston Ave., Kittanning, who died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1988, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Charles Wheeler, pastor of Hawthorn Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow in Johns Cemetery, Adrian. Family requests memorial gifts be made to a charity of your choice.
