DEATH OF PAUL SUMMERS

Paul Summers of Wichita, Ks., passed away at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Lawrence Friday afternoon, September 7. Deceased was visiting relatives here and suffered a heart attack Tuesday of last week. He was rushed to Lawrence where medical science proved of no avail.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Christian church in Rich Hill conducted by Rev. Earl Bingham. Burial was in the Carbon Center cemetery.

Paul T., eldest son of William A. and Alice Summers, was born in Metz June 21, 1895, and at his death was aged 61 years, 2 months and 16 days.

On May 29, 1920, he was united in marriage to Ann Leona Swope. To this union was born one son, Thornton, who survives. Anna passed away in October of 1951.

At an early age he united with the Christian church and was a faithful follower of the Lord and Master.

A short time ago he was married to Effie Tolle who also survives.

Also left to mourn his passing is his mother; one granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Edna Steele of Metz; three brothers, Cecil of Metz, Emmett of Nevada and Edd of Harrisonville and a host of other relatives and friends.
