Sarah Catherine Stevenson was the third of ten known child of Judge James Hall Stevenson (1803-1886) and Emily Clement Janes (1817-1899), who married Christmas Day (25 Dec) 1833 at Hot Springs, Hot Springs County, Arkansas.

Sarah married Joseph H. Traller (1832-1909) on 02 Dec 1858 at Lamar County, Texas. Sarah and Joseph were the parents of eight known children, namely:

1. Emily Catherine Traller Carroll (1861-1941)
2. Martha Josephine Traller Davidson (1864-1952)
3. William Thomas Traller (1867-1881)
4. Agnes Ann Traller Folsom (1869-1939)
5. Elizabeth Jane Traller Isom (1872-1955)
6. Clara Belle Traller Martin (1874-1967)
7. Samuel Ford Traller (1875-1882)
8. Fannie May Traller (1878-1882)
