Aaron Stere was born in East Zorra Township on April 7, 1904. He was the son of the late John Stere and the former Leah Erb. He died on August 11, 1985, at the age of 81 years. He married Magdalena Streicher on January 16, 1929. He is survived by his wife Magdalena; two sons, Gerald, Gordon and hi wife Karen, three daughters Elsie (Mrs. Carl Luelo), Mary (Mrs. Paul Zehr) and Linda (Mrs. Frank Huber); 11 grandchildren and one great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers Joel and Ezra and four sisters Mrs. Lena Bast, Mrs. Melinda Roth, Marion (Mrs. Calvin Gerber) and Lauretta (Mrs. Murray Fleming). He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister. The funeral service was held at Tavistock Mennonite Church 2:00 p.m. on August 14, 1985 with Committal Service at the 19th Line Cemetery, East Zorra Township.
