GERBER, Marion (nee Stere) Passed away peacefully on Saturday March 8, 2014 at the St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, St. Mary's. Marion Gerber of Tavistock and formerly of RR#1 Bright in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Calvin Gerber who predeceased her October 20, 2004. Loving mother of Betty Anne Brenneman, Connie and husband Carl Zehr all of Tavistock, Roger and wife Sharon, Doug and wife Susan all of RR#1 Bright, Carolyn and husband Kevin Kropf of RR#1 Shakespeare. Dear mother-in-law of Valerie Gerber of RR#1 New Hamburg. Sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grand- children. Survived by her sister Lauretta Fleming of Tavistock. Predeceased by her son Richard Gerber (2010), son-in-law Ernie Brenneman (1977), sisters and brothers Barbara and Ezra Gascho, Joe and Viola and Emma Stere, Aaron and Magdalena Stere, Joel and Adeline Stere, Lena and Ezra Bast, Ezra and Ida Stere, Irvin and Lucinda Stere, John and Grace Stere, Lloyd and Wilma Stere, Dan and Doris Stere, Melinda and Arthur Roth, brother-in-law Murray Fleming. She will also be lovingly remembered by the Gerber brothers and sisters-in-law and their families. Marion was a faithful member of the Cassel Mennonite Church where she was actively involved in Bible study and WMCEC. She also served on the Nithview Auxiliary Committee for many years and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She treasured her last 5 years with her second family at the Maples Retirement Home. Relatives and friends may call at the Francis Funeral Home 77 Woodstock St. N., Tavistock on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Wanda Roth Amstutz officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cassel Mennonite Church or the St. Mary's Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
