Mrs. Elizabeth Daun, 78, a lifelong resident of the Town of Stockbridge, widow of Lambert, died of a lingering illness late Wednesday morning in Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton. She had been a patient there 10 days.
The former Elizabeth Wettstein, she was born May 14, 1889 in the Town of Stockbridge, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Wettstein.
Her marriage to Mr. Daun took place October 28, 1915 in St. Elizabeths Catholic Church Kloten. Following marriage the couple farmed in Stockbridge. Mr. Daun died in October 1950. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Parish, Stockbridge, and its Christian Mothers Society.
Surviving is a son, Cyril, on the Stockbridge home farm. One son preceded her in death.
The requiem Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Marys Church, Stockbridge with the Rev. William Willinger, pastor celebrant. Mass will folow 9:15 family rites at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton, with burial in the parish cemetery.
