Mr. Daun was born in Marytown March 15, 1887, the son of Peter and Anna Daun. He moved with his parents to Stockbridge as a youth.
He was married Oct. 28, 1913 at St. Elizabeth’s church, Kloten to Elizabeth Wettstein of Kloten. He was a member of St. Mary’s church Stockbridge and of the Holy Name Society of that parish.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Cyril; two brothers, john of Stockbridge town, and Joe of Hilbert.
Mr. Daun was well known in the county farming circles and also had a reputation as a skat player. He played in many county tournaments and also in several state tourneys.
Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Mary’s church. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
