Leona Elizabeth Wessel: Leona Elizabeth Wessel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wessel,passed away Sunday, January 13 at Topeka after prolonged illness. The Rosary will be recited this Monday evening at the Lauer Funeral Home, and the funeralservice will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 at Sts. Peter and Paul church, with burial at theSacred Heart cemetery. Leona was born August 8, 1920 at Centralia. Besides her parents, she leaves her brothers and sisters: Clara, who is Mrs. Omar Reiter of Frankfort; Alvina, Mrs. Ed Brucken of Horton; Raymond, Adrian, Bernard and Rose Edna, who is Mrs. Warren Morris, all of Topeka; Elmer of Plattsburg Air Force Base, New York; Lorena, Mrs. Lawrence Koch of Axtell; Paul of Chicago, Ill., and Galen of Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma. A brother and a sister, Leonardand Dorothy, preceded her in death.
