CASEY - Virginia "Marie" Tinsman, 75, of Casey died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 3, 2008) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery. She was born July 6, 1933, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Ivan "Red" and Frances Fritts Glosser. She married Billie Lee Tinsman in 1950; he died in 2003. Survivors include one son, Billie Tinsman of Casey; three daughters, Denise Light and Colleen McGinness, both of Toledo and Connie Griffith of Gila; two brothers, Russell "Tyke" Glosser of Greenhill, Fla., and Jim Glosser of Hidalgo; four sisters, Sandy Billingsly of Erick, Okla., Sharon Cox and Barbara Houser, both of Hidalgo, and Pat Yow of Charleston; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Mrs. Tinsman was a homemaker and a tax preparer for 45 years. She was a member of the Casey Women's Moose, V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary and American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Memorials in her honor maybe given to the Effingham National Guard Bravo Company 2-130 infantry family readiness group.
