Mary was the daughter of John & Sarah (Hill) Robinson and she grew up on a family farm in Concord Township, Delaware County, OH. On June 4, 1878, Mary was married to George Washington Duffey. Mary & George owned and operated a family farm in Concord Township and were recorded living there on the 1880 & 1910 federal censuses. The couple reportedly parented at least five children between the years of 1883 & 1895: John A. Duffey, Frederick G. Duffey (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery), Dana F. Duffey, Josiah Henry Harrison Duffey (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery), & Elton Duffey.
