John Robinson was the son of William Daniel (II) & Rebecca (Lewis) Robinson. John emigrated from England with his father and older brother arriving in New York City on the evening of November 12, 1833, just in time to witness one of the lagest meteor showers ever seen along the east coast of North America. By 1834 the Robinson family had arrived in Delaware County, OH. On September 16, 1852, John was married to Sarah Hill. John & Sarah parented three children between the years of 1855 & 1858: John Adam "Ad" Robinson, Rebecca Ann Robinson, & Mary E. Robinson (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery). Wife Sarah died on June 7, 1862, and on November 20 of the same year, John was married to Nancy A. Goodin. John & Nancy parented at least six children between the years of 1866 & 1884: Sarah B. Robinson (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery), Thomas G. Robinson, Benjamin Robinson, Flora Jane Robinson (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery), William Daniel Robinson IV (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery), & James A. Robinson. John Robinson earned a living in various ways during his 73 years in and around Delaware County, OH.
